Welcome to CAR-Tools. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CAR-Tools clinical platform, including our website (car-tools.org), AI Engine (chat.car-tools.org), and Biomolecular Database (database.car-tools.org) (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Description of Service

CAR-Tools provides advanced in-silico predictive affinity modeling, protein folding simulations, and an indexed clinical dataset designed to accelerate the research and development of CAR therapies. The platform utilizes proprietary neural network models trained on aggregated oncology datasets.

2. Strictly For Research – Medical Disclaimer

The Service, including all AI-generated predictions, affinity scores, and simulated models, is provided strictly for research, educational, and computational purposes only.

• Not Medical Advice: CAR-Tools is not a healthcare provider. The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• No Physical Substitute: In-silico modeling does not replace rigorous in-vitro and in-vivo testing, FDA-approved clinical trials, or professional scientific methodology.
• User Responsibility: You assume full responsibility for the physical synthesis, clinical application, and patient outcomes resulting from any biological assets developed using data obtained from our Service.

3. Protected Health Information (PHI)

To maintain platform security and compliance with global data protection laws (including HIPAA and GDPR), users are strictly prohibited from submitting, querying, or storing personally identifiable patient data or Protected Health Information (PHI) within the CAR-Tools AI Engine or Database.

Exceptions to this rule only apply if your institution has a signed, active Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and Data Processing Agreement (DPA) explicitly executed with CAR-Tools.

4. Intellectual Property & Usage Rights

The neural network architecture, proprietary algorithms, database schemas, code, and visual design of the Service are the exclusive intellectual property of CAR-Tools.

• Your Inputs: You retain ownership of the specific biological sequences and queries you input into the Service. By inputting data, you grant CAR-Tools a limited, secure license to process that data solely to return your requested predictive models.
• Restrictions: You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract the source code or training data from our neural networks. Automated bot scraping of the clinical database is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of access.

5. Account Security

If you are provided with clinical access credentials, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or breach of security. CAR-Tools is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login credentials.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CAR-Tools, its founders, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, or clinical trial delays resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.

7. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time as our platform infrastructure evolves. We will notify you of substantial changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service following any modifications constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
